Horror show: North American box office records lowest monthly total since 1997

I'm really disappointed in the state of Hollywood right now 🤦‍♂️. I mean, we're used to seeing epic blockbusters come out every month, but lately it's like they just aren't happening. And it's not just the lack of big-budget films, it's also the horror movies that are supposed to be our bread and butter in October... meh 🎃.

I think what really hurts is that when we do get a good film out, it's often overshadowed by other stuff like sports events or even just people being busy at home. Like, who needs to go to the movies on Halloween weekend when you've got baseball on? 😒

But hey, there is one bright spot - Taylor Swift's silly film 🎉. I mean, who wouldn't want to see a movie about her performing as a showgirl? It was actually kinda fun and it made some serious cash! Maybe we need to just focus on finding our own unique niche in the cinema world... like making more weird music biopics or something 😂.

🤔 this is so weird... one minute you're counting down the days till Halloween and the next, no one's coming to watch movies lol what's going on? 🎃 think maybe they need to get their act together and come up with some cool horror flicks that aren't just "meh" 😐

😐 I'm kinda surprised by how bad the box office did this month...like what's up with all the big-budget flicks flopping? 🤔 And yeah, I guess you're right about horror movies too, I mean who doesn't love a good scare on Halloween? 🎃 But at the same time, that Taylor Swift movie is like woah! 💸 I'm not even a fan of hers but I guess she's got some magic marketing powers or something...anyway, it'll be interesting to see what happens next month. 🤞

Umm yeah so like i was watching this movie last month Tron: Ares or whatever 🤔 and i just dont get why it failed 😕 i mean its got dwayne johnson in it which is always a plus, but i guess the storyline wasnt that great? idk maybe ill watch the others he mentioned like springsteen biopic or something, has anyone seen those? 🎬

Ugh, what's going on with the movies lately? 🤦‍♂️ First, they're making these huge blockbusters expecting everyone to love them, and now we got a bunch of flops 😴. I mean Tron: Ares is like 180 million dollars just for domestic?! What were they thinking? And don't even get me started on Dwayne Johnson's wrestling drama, who cares about that? 🤷‍♂️

I also thought horror movies in October would do better, but Black Phone 2 and Shelby Oaks are just a total letdown. I guess you're right, the timing of the Halloween holiday might have played a role, but still, it's not like people didn't want to go to the movies 🎬

But then Taylor Swift comes along with this tiny showgirl movie and rakes in 34 million dollars in one weekend? That's just crazy money 💸. I guess you can't deny good marketing! Anyway, next year needs some better horror movies or something...
