
This is getting outta hand

... I mean, what's next? Local cops showing up at your doorstep because they think you're a "material witness" to something?

It's one thing to have immigration authorities show up if you've got a serious case against you, but for folks just trying to live their lives without proper papers? No way. That's not law enforcement, that's ICE.
And what about due process?

If someone gets detained for "unverified citizenship", who exactly is verifying it? And what happens next? You're stuck in limbo until some bureaucrat decides whether or not you belong here? It's a nightmare waiting to happen.
We need more transparency and accountability from these agencies. We can't just let them start enforcing immigration laws willy-nilly. That's how you end up with people being deported for minor infractions...
