25+ wine, beer and spirit events to celebrate this winter

Winter Wine and Spirits Events Abound in the Bay Area

As days shorten and nights grow cooler, wine lovers and spirits enthusiasts are gearing up for a festive season of sipping and merriment. From December 3 through February 21, numerous wine, beer, and spirit events will take place across the Bay Area.

Painting, Pints, and Poses

On December 3, Gilman Brewing Co. in Berkeley invites visitors to sip on craft beer while creating their own festive masterpieces with a Paint and Pints class (from $25). On the same day, Woodhouse Blending & Brewing in Santa Cruz offers Brewery Yoga at 6 pm, where participants can flow through a vinyasa session before indulging in local brews.

A Cabernet Franc Day

On December 4, Bankhead Theater in Livermore hosts a special event, with thirteen Livermore Valley wineries gathering to offer tastings, snacks, and souvenir glassware (from $95). Meanwhile, Dante Robere Vineyards will host a Holiday Charcuterie Workshop from 6-8:30 pm on the same day. Participants will enjoy wine pairings while learning how to style their own charcuterie boards.

Champagne and Jazz

A Champagne Christmas Party will be held at DalΓ© Vino in Pittsburg on December 6, complete with bubbly cocktails and live music from Project 4 Band (free, but paid table reservations encouraged). Kepler's Books is also hosting a Holiday Party on December 7, featuring cocktails, cookies, and 10% off all purchases.

Sipping, Sushi, and Cocktails

On December 17, Sushi Confidential in Morgan Hill will offer an Omakase meal with wine pairings from Sarah’s Vineyard (from $95). Meanwhile, Timber & Salt in Redwood City is hosting a Whiskey Tasting event from 6-7 pm (from $55).

Winter Wonderland and New Year's Eve Parties

In December, the Winter Wonderland event at Menlo Park will feature beer, wine, hot chocolate, and live music while offering snowman-building and Santa photo ops. In early January, Rios-Lovell Estate Winery in Livermore is hosting an Ugly Sweater Dance Party with 2000s and hip-hop tunes.

Holiday Sipping Events

Other notable events include a Sips of the Season wine tasting at Total Wine and More (from $20), a Paint and Sip night at Oakland United Beerworks (free), a Winter Market in Alameda featuring local vendors, handcrafted goods, and craft beer (from $50), and an Euro Christmas Gala with live music and dancing.

Capitola Village Sip and Stroll

The final event listed takes place on February 21, when Capitola Village will host its annual Sip and Stroll, where visitors can sample local beers and wines while exploring the shops and boutiques of Capitola (from $50).

Whether you're a seasoned oenophile or simply looking to get into the holiday spirit with friends, there's an event for everyone in this festive Bay Area calendar.

I'm tellin' ya, back in my day we didn't need all these fancy wine and spirits events to have fun! But I guess times change and people like to indulge in a little luxury 😊. This winter stuff is lookin' pretty cool though - who doesn't love a good bottle of wine or a craft beer? 🍷🍺

I'm kinda surprised they're doin' all these events at once, it's gonna be hard to choose just one! I'd wanna check out the Champagne Christmas Party and the Whiskey Tasting event, sounds like a blast πŸ’ƒπŸ»πŸŽ‰. And hey, if you're feelin' artsy, the Paint and Pints class looks like a great way to spend an evening 🎨.

But you know what's even better than all these events? Just chillin' at home with some good friends and a bottle of wine (or two πŸ˜‰). That's how I'd celebrate the holidays!

I'm not sure about all these events πŸ€”... I mean, I love wine and spirits as much as the next person, but can't they just have one decent and affordable option instead of so many overpriced ones? $95 for a Cabernet Franc Day? That's just steep, you know? And what's with all these 'Paint and Pints' classes 🎨🍺... is that really a thing people are gonna shell out big bucks for?

And I'm not even getting started on the Winter Wonderland event πŸŽ…... snowman-building and Santa photo ops sound like more of a holiday hassle than fun. And the 2000s and hip-hop tunes at Rios-Lovell Estate Winery? Who thought that was a good idea? πŸ˜‚

I think people just need to take a step back and appreciate a nice bottle of wine (or beer) without all the frills and extras πŸ·πŸ‘Œ

omg i'm so excited!! πŸŽ‰ winter wine and spirits events are literally my fave time of year! i mean who doesn't love sipping on a cold beer or wine while making art or just vibing with friends? i'm def checking out the paint and pints class at Gilman Brewing Co. in december that sounds like so much fun!! 🎨🍺 and champagne christmas party at DalΓ© Vino in pittsburg is straight fire too! πŸ’ƒπŸ»πŸ₯‚

its getting pretty lit around here for wine lovers! like, i love that we have so many events popping up in dec & jan πŸŽ‰ especially the brewery yoga class sounds like a sick way to spend the evening 😴🍺 meanwhile tho, $95 for a cab franc day might be a bit steep for some people... should probably look into more affordable options for those who wanna get their wine on without breaking the bank πŸ’Έ

omg i'm so down for these winter wine events πŸ·πŸŽ‰! i've been eyeing that Cabernet Franc Day at Bankhead Theater - 13 wineries in one place? sounds like a total dream come true 😍 but idk about the $95 ticket price... maybe ill stick to the free or low-cost ones πŸ€‘ and btw, who else is hyped for the Sips of the Season wine tasting at Total Wine and More? πŸ’Έ

🍷 I'm low-key excited for winter wine events πŸŽ„... just saw that Gilman Brewing Co is doing a paint and pints class and it sounds so much fun! 🎨🍺 They're charging $25 which is pretty reasonable considering you get to create your own art while drinking beer 🀣. On the other hand, I wish they were more specific about what kind of paints they'll be using... like, will it be acrylic or watercolor? πŸ€” And also, if anyone has been to a wine and spirits event before, can you please share some tips on how to make the most out of them? πŸ’β€β™€οΈ [www.spoonfulofcider.com](http://www.spoonfulofcider.com)

The wine and spirits events across the Bay Area are just another example of how our community comes together to celebrate the holidays πŸŽ‰. But let's talk about who gets to benefit from these events - our local businesses or the big corporations that sponsor them? πŸ€‘ It seems like many of these events require a hefty price tag, which may be out of reach for some people. That got me thinking, what if we had a more inclusive and affordable way to celebrate the holidays in our community?

I mean, think about it, some of these events are just exclusive to certain neighborhoods or areas with higher incomes. It's like, who gets left behind when we're all having so much fun? πŸ€” We need to make sure that everyone can participate in these events, regardless of their income level. Maybe we could even get the city to partner up with local breweries and wineries to offer more affordable options for people who can't afford the fancy events.

And let's not forget about the environmental impact of all these events 🌎. I mean, think about how much energy it takes to heat up those wine cellars and power all the music systems. We need to be more sustainable in our celebrations. How about we make some of these events zero-waste or even carbon-neutral? πŸ’š That way, everyone can feel good about what they're doing while still having a great time.

It's not just about the price tag or the environmental impact, though - it's also about creating opportunities for social mobility and community building. What if we used some of these events as a platform to bring people together from different backgrounds and socioeconomic statuses? 🀝 We could have more inclusive events that celebrate our diversity and promote unity.

So yeah, let's get planning on how to make the Bay Area wine and spirits events more inclusive and sustainable 🎊. Who's with me?

omg i am literally so down for these winter wine and spirits events πŸ·πŸŽ„ the paint and pints class at Gilman Brewing Co sounds like a total blast 🎨🍺 and the brewery yoga at Woodhouse Blending & Brewing is such a great way to relax and unwind πŸ§˜β€β™€οΈ after a long day. i'm also loving the idea of a cabernet franc day with 13 livermore valley wineries coming together - it's like a wine lover's dream come true πŸ’• i'm thinking of signing up for the champagne christmas party at DalΓ© Vino and the whiskey tasting event at Timber & Salt too... who else is excited for these events? πŸŽ‰

December is like, totally here! πŸŽ„ And I'm all about sipping on some good wine and spirits while the weather gets chillier 😊. I've been seeing these events popping up around the Bay Area, and honestly, it's looking pretty lit for winter wine lovers! From paint and pints classes to champagne and jazz parties, there's something for everyone.

I'm intrigued by this Cabernet Franc Day event - 13 Livermore Valley wineries in one place? Sounds like a dream come true for any wine geek 🍷. And who wouldn't want to learn how to style their own charcuterie boards while enjoying wine pairings?

But what I think is cool about these events is that they're not just about drinking - they're also about community and having fun with friends or like-minded folks πŸŽ‰. Whether you're into yoga, jazz, or just hanging out at a bookstore, there's an event for every vibe.

I'm also loving the variety of options here - from budget-friendly Paint and Pints classes to more luxurious wine tastings (hello, $95 Cabernet Franc Day!). There's something for every wallet and interest level.

So, if you're looking for some festive fun with friends or just want to get into the holiday spirit, I say check out these events! Your taste buds (and your social calendar) will thank you 😊.

omg u guys i just found out about these winter wine and spirits events happening all over bay area πŸ·πŸŽ‰ and i am SO down! been dying to try some new wines and beers and now i have the perfect excuse πŸ˜‚ gotta check out that cabernet franc day event in livermore tho, sounds like a total wine lover's paradise 🌸 plus who doesn't love charcuterie boards? πŸ§€πŸ½οΈ also really looking forward to the champagne christmas party in pittsburg, live music and bubbly cocktails is my idea of holiday magic ✨

The Bay Area is getting all lit up with wine and spirits events πŸŽ‰! But let me tell you, some of these events are just kinda... basic. Like, $95 for a Cabernet Franc Day? That's just asking for money πŸ’Έ. And what's with the paid table reservations at DalΓ© Vino? Can't we just get a decent drink without having to shell out extra cash?

And have you seen the price tag on that Omakase meal at Sushi Confidential? $95 is already steep, but adding wine pairings? That's just highway robbery πŸš—. And don't even get me started on the Wine and More tasting event - $20 for a few sips of wine? No thanks.

I mean, I'm all for getting into the holiday spirit, but some of these events are just more about making bank than about having a good time with friends. Where's the creativity? The fun? Just saying πŸ€”.

πŸŽ„ I'm so down for these winter wine and spirits events πŸ·πŸ˜‹. I mean, who doesn't love sipping on some bubbly champagne πŸ₯‚ or trying out a new craft beer? And painting while drinking sounds like an awesome way to spend the holiday season πŸŽ¨πŸ’«. I've always been fascinated by all the different types of wine and spirits, so events like Cabernet Franc Day 🍷 are right up my alley. What's not to love about wine tastings and live music?! 🎡

πŸŽ„ The Bay Area is literally going wild with all these wine and spirits events 🀯. I mean, who needs a New Year's Eve party when you can have a Cabernet Franc Day? πŸ’Ό And what's up with all the paint and sip classes? It sounds like everyone's getting crafty while drinking wine 🎨. But honestly, can't wait to try some of these events out myself! πŸ·πŸŽ‰

omg u guys i am literally so down for these winter wine and spirits events πŸ·πŸŽ„ december is like the perfect time to cozy up with a good bottle of wine and catch up with friends or just enjoy some me time πŸ§–β€β™€οΈ meanwhile, who else is loving the idea of brewery yoga? πŸ€Έβ€β™€οΈ i mean, flow through a vinyasa session and then indulge in local brews? yes please! 😊

I'm totally down with these winter wine events πŸŽ„... but, on the other hand, aren't they kinda pricey? I mean, paying $95 for a Cabernet Franc Day or $55 for a whiskey tasting is a bit steep for me 😳. On the flip side, some of these events seem like so much fun - who wouldn't want to sip on craft beer while creating art 🎨... but, at the same time, I'm not sure how many times I'd want to do that in one day 🀯.

And, let's be real, all this holiday party-ing can get a bit overwhelming πŸ˜…. But, at the same time, it's great that there are so many options for people to celebrate the season with friends and family πŸ‘«. I just wish some of these events were more... well-rounded? Like, maybe a wine tasting followed by a cooking class or something 🍴.

Anyway, to all my fellow Bay Area residents, if you're feeling festive, go for it! Treat yourself to a fun night out and make some amazing memories πŸŽ‰. Just don't say I didn't warn you about the prices πŸ’Έ...

🍷 I'm so excited about all these Winter Wine and Spirits Events popping up across the Bay Area! It sounds like the perfect way to cozy up during the cold winter months πŸ₯Ά Not just wine tastings, but beer pairings, brewery yoga, and even a Cabernet Franc Day? It's like a mini-vacation from reality for our taste buds πŸ˜‹ And I love that there are events for all budgets, too - you can get your feet wet with a $20 Sips of the Season tasting or go all out with the $95 Bankhead Theater event πŸ€‘ What I'm most looking forward to is the Sip and Stroll in Capitola Village on February 21... who wouldn't want to spend their last day of winter sipping local beers and browsing cute shops? πŸŽ„πŸ‘—
