LG Brings Dance Fever to Smart TVs with Just Dance Now
Just Dance Now, the popular motion-controlled rhythm game, is coming to LG smart TVs in December. The game will be available for free through the LG Gaming Portal for webOS 22 or later users in the US and Europe. No additional hardware is required to access the hundreds of songs spanning decades of music.
The game has a rich history, launched as a mobile app in 2014 for iOS and Android before being brought to Apple TV a year later. Just Dance Now offers an exclusive library of songs that can be accessed for free each day, although users can opt for paid plans or purchase song packs for more content.
In its current form, the game uses the LG Magic Remote's motion-sensing capabilities as its peripheral controller. This means players don't need any extra hardware to experience the fun.
As part of the launch preparations, a beta version of Just Dance Now will be available in advance. Users can try out three songs on the first day and one daily for the next two weeks through a free trial.
LG's Gaming Portal is gaining momentum as a viable alternative to console gaming. The platform has recently added Xbox Game Pass cloud gaming services and introduced GeForce NOW game streaming with up to 4K 120Hz resolution.
